What's in this episode:
Insurance agents everywhere are running into a new obstacle - AI gatekeepers on cell phones that screen every incoming call before the prospect even sees a name. In this solo episode, Michael Weaver breaks down the exact strategy for getting past that screen and generating enough curiosity that prospects pick up. The principle is simple: keep it short and create urgency. The execution is what separates agents who get callbacks from agents who get ignored.
Michael Weaver walks through real voicemail and AI gatekeeper scripts that work in today's selling environment, including word-for-word examples any insurance agent can use immediately. Whether you are trying to book a quote, reach a referral, or reconnect with a prospect, this episode gives you a repeatable framework that fits in under 10 words and gets results.

SPEAKER_00Hey, welcome to the insurance buzz. My name is Michael Weaver, and I am flying solo today. And I am going to be answering one of your questions that you asked. And so, shout out to Ray Sively. He asked, Michael, I need help with voicemail scripts that get you past the AI gatekeeper in everyone's phone now. Very excited about today's episode. So before I get into this, number one, Ray, thank you so much for your support. Number two, if you have questions that you would like us to address on the insurance buzz, make sure you text me right now, 816-727-7610. 816-727-7610. Ask the question. We will make sure that we put it on the buzz because we appreciate you. We want you to find value in what we're doing over here on the insurance buzz. And so the more questions you have, the more that we're able to help you out and give you the uh the topics and talk about the topics uh and and the training that you are wanting and that you are needing and that you are desiring. So let's get into Ray's question today. How do we navigate AI gatekeeping? That's what we're gonna be talking about today. And it's very, very, very uh similar to the voicemail approach that that we teach. And so I want you to think of two things right now. And I want you to write these down if possible. Keep it simple. That's the very first thing. Keep it simple, and number two, generate curiosity. Keep it simple, generate curiosity. I'm gonna repeat myself one more time. Keep it simple, generate curiosity. When I say this, your job as a professional, as a sales professional, is to get someone to actually have a conversation with you. And so if you are having issues right now, like Ray is, where he is having a tough time getting people getting through that AI gatekeeper on the cell phones that people now have, where you have to actually say the reason why you're calling them, and then it then they may or may not answer. Let's talk about this. So when I say keep things simple, just like in a voicemail, so just like the voicemail that I that I teach, you're never going to tell someone, hey, so I was giving you a call, my name's Michael, I'm from the local insurance company. I'd received some information, you were looking for an auto insurance quote, and I gotta tell you, everything is coming back incredible, you know. Like it really looks like we're gonna be able to help you out. Now, I do have a few questions for you. So if you could just no, this is not what you're ever going to do. If you are currently doing that, you have to stop right now. You have to stop right now. I want you to put yourself in the position of the customer. If you're anything like most individuals out there, including myself, if a voicemail is longer than something I can read, meaning it pops up just like a text message. If I if I can't figure out what the call is about, I'm probably not gonna call that person back. If I have if it is longer than just a few seconds, I'm so here we go. So, how how I teach to leave a voicemail, and then I'm gonna get to how we get around this AI gatekeeper. John, this is Michael from XYZ Insurance Company. I've got a really important question for you. Please give me a call back. That is the voicemail. Creating a sense of urgency. Simple. Creating curiosity. So many times I'd get calls back and they'd be like, hey, Michael, you said you had something important for me. What's up? Why are you calling me? What does your your insurance company need? Did something happen? Bam, I got him. I'm at least got him on the phone. Now it's my job as a professional to take that contact and turn it into a conversation. So when we talk about AI gatekeepers, for example, what I want you to focus on is the same exact thing. Hey John, Michael Weaver from XYZ Insurance Company. I got a really important question for you. That's it. That's all they're gonna read. Hey John, this is Michael. XYZ insurance company. You're seeing the process here, right? Hey, this is Michael. XYZ insurance company. I've got something really important I need to run by you real fast. Boom, done. Because all they read, all this AI gatekeeper is doing is they're reporting back to them to where they're gonna read it and they're gonna make the decision. Do I answer this or do I not? And so, what can you do to help them understand who you are and create like a sense of what does this person want? What does this person need? Hey John, it's Michael. I have a really important question for you. Hey John, it's Michael. I really need to talk to you. Hey John, it's Michael. Something important has really come up. I just need a few minutes. That's it. Hey John, this is Michael from XYZ Insurance Company. Something important really came up. I need to talk. What is that? Seven, six seconds? Five seconds? That's it. In the day and age we live in, we live in, you have to be short, sweet, to the point. You cannot go into why you're calling and all good. It's never worked, but it definitely is not gonna work today. And so, Ray, right now you need to be short, sweet, to the point. Because all they're gonna do is read this and decide whether they're going to answer your call or not. So you're not gonna go into you received information, you're not gonna go into rates, you're not gonna go into any of that. Ray, it's Michael, a really important question for you. Hey, Ray, it's Michael from XYZ Insurance Company. Something extremely important. Hey Ray, it's Michael from XYZ Insurance Company. I have a really important question for you. Hey Ray, it's Michael from XYZ Insurance Company. I really need to talk to you. Or hey, Ray, it's Michael, I really need to talk to you. If you don't even want to tell them what company you're with, I don't care. Short, sweet, to the point, something they can read, and something that is going to generate curiosity or create a sense of urgency to at least answer your call so you can do what you do best. So, with that being said, if you are like Ray and you are currently struggling and getting through the AI gatekeepers, take what I taught you today, implement it, you will see immediate success from that.
